The Confusion, Ingratitude As Well As The Danger Of The Western Liberals And The Trump Therapy

By Yoweri Kaguta Museveni

I have been either closely following or actively involved in World and African political events for the last 56 years.  In those 56 years, I have noticed many happenings, behaviours, etc.  One of the groups that I have observed with interest are the Western “Liberals”, “Leftists”, etc.

President Obama Delivers Touching Farewell Speech In Chicago

Having inherited an economy that was on the brink of total collapse, Barack Obama’s job as newly elected President of the United States was evidently a tough one.

But he plodded eight years nevertheless; came face to face with racism, joblessness, class stratification, political dreadlock in Washington, home-bred terrorism and gun violence. He grappled with it all, and last night, Tuesday, January 10, 2017 delivered his farewell address to the nation in Chicago and he was a proud man.

President Museveni Pens Article On Casualties Of Western “Neo-Imperialism” And African Weakness

In recent months, two western ruling groups have suffered defeat in the elections. Although it is not the culture of Africans to talk about other people’s “houses” (internal affairs of other people), I feel compelled to comment on the events in the USA, Britain and Hungary in recent times because they are somehow connected with Africa Continue reading President Museveni Pens Article On Casualties Of Western “Neo-Imperialism” And African Weakness

President’s Remarks At The Sudanese National Dialogue On Land And State Reform- Khartoum

I greet you and bring you good wishes from your Ugandan brothers and sisters.

I have been very fortunate on account of being old enough to know what was happening when African countries started getting Independence ─ the Sudan 1956, Ghana 1957, Uganda 1962, etc.  It is, therefore, now 60 years since African countries started getting Independence from the Colonial Powers Continue reading President’s Remarks At The Sudanese National Dialogue On Land And State Reform- Khartoum

President Museveni delivers keynote address at the 71st UN General Assembly

Your Excellencies Heads of State and Government;

President of the General Assembly;

Mr. Secretary-General;

Honourable Ministers;

Distinguished participants;

Ladies and Gentlemen.

I would like to congratulate you, Mr. President, on your election to lead the General Assembly during the 71st Session.

The theme of the General Assembly is: “The Sustainable Development Goals: a universal push to transform our world”.  This is a good topic.  It adds another nail in the coffin of the old parasitic arrangement where only a small portion of humanity ─ those living in the USA, Canada, Western Europe, Australia and New-Zealand, lived in affluence while the rest of the world lived in abject poverty.
