After months of a musical sabbatical, Dancehall ‘machine’ Coco Finger finally has returned – still as effervescent and contagious as he ever was.
While debuting his new dancehall tune, Woman, on NTV’s The Beat show with Douglas Lwanga, Coco, all prim and garbed in white told his fans, on Tuesday, April 11, that he had reappeared to repossess his space in dancehall music because it’s his turf.
‘I always come to inspire,’ he asserted, ‘and as such, I changed many things in this industry.’ Pressed hard about what he’d do to beat the massive talent flooding the dancehall genre, the Mikono waggulu singer insisted; ‘Younger artistes can only borrow a leaf from me.’
Coco Finger explained that he usually takes a long time make to public appearances because he’s a very busy man – with such a tight schedule of performances, in and out of the country. And that he cannot do anything about it, considering the lots of people counting on him.
‘I do lots of charity,’ he averred.
Commenting on his new video, he revealed it had cost him a great deal; having been shot in multiple locations of the country – Luweero and Adjumani among others. And apparently, this year, it’s the first among many.
He ended by dismissing claims that he ever was part of any media stunt to report himself dead as rumor widely a few weeks back that he had been killed in an accident.
‘It was fake news with help of Photoshop!’ he reaffirmed.
Well, welcome back Mr. Luo Ambassador! We just hope you’re aware that there has since risen fresh dancehall crocodiles, which if you’re not careful enough could devour you back to oblivion!!!
